What are the benefits of teletherapy?
With the current pandemic, teletherapy offers increased safety for both you and your clinician. We are able to conduct therapy more naturally as speech/swallowing systems are not covered by facemask/shield. No travel time. No coordinating rides or waiting in waiting rooms. You are seen in the comfort of your own home.
Is teletherapy effective?
Research supports similar outcomes for in person therapy and therapy conducted via teletherapy. You will receive the same quality of care.
How do I connect to my therapist for my teletherapy appointment?
Our teletherapy platform is very user friendly. You can access your session with a smart phone, tablet, laptop, or home computer. You will receive an email regarding set-up. You simply click on the link within your email to join your speech pathologist on a video call. We are more than happy to walk you through set-up during our initial meeting. The quality and length of therapy are identical to in person services.
Will insurance cover Teletherapy?
We are in-network with Medicare which currently covers some types of teletherapy. We are currently out-of-network (private pay) with all other insurances. Payment is due at time of service. We accept all major credit cards, FSA cards, and HSA cards. For our out-of-network (private pay) patients, we are happy to provide necessary paperwork (super bill) which the patient can submit directly to his/her insurance for potential reimbursement. We are working to become in network with multiple other insurances in the near future.
